Melbourne has taken a step to increase the safety of of cab drivers.

The cab drivers took it to the streets, when a student driving cab as part time was stabbed and left to die on a street.

The cabbies demanded the installation of safety screens and mandatory pre-payment of fair between 10pm to 5am.

Are safety screen the answer to the problems of cabbies?
