Despite this success on a larger level there are very few opportunities for the wealth of local talent to showcase their skills.

Many artists believe it is the fault of venue managers whilst administrators claim they are constantly implementing new initiatives to support the scene

Another suggestion is that the problem lies within the nightclub culture of the Gold Coast and the preference of the DJ to the live musician.
