We have all heard the hype lately about the ‘youth binge drinking epidemic’ sweeping the nation.
However, evidence from research shows that consumption of alcohol at dangerous levels is increasing in Australia, particularly among young people.
An intoxicated youth is more likely to indulge in risky behaviour such as verbal abuse, drunk driving or unsafe sex.
But when does social drinking become unacceptable binge drinking.
And are youth really the worst offenders.
